Lesson 6: Braiding
From ancient weapons to Space Stations, braids have been used for centuries to produce strong cords for a variety of uses.
Paragraph from the Chapter
"Braiding is one of the simplest and most ancient textile arts. Early people discovered that when you twist two strands of fiber together, the resulting string will be stronger than the two strands used individually. When you then braid these twisted strands, they become even stronger, and are able to serve a variety of both practical and aesthetic uses. The most common use of braids today is in our shoelaces."
