Gauge:
22 Sts and 32 Rows = 4" square in Stockinette stitch on larger needles, blocked.

Notes:
The vest is worked in the round to the armholes. The front is split for the placket, and then each side and the back are worked separately, back and forth to the neck. Sts are picked up along the placket, around the neck, and armholes for the ribbed trim.

While working neck shaping, if there aren’t enough stitches to complete one of the cable patterns on an edge, work those sts as they present themselves (knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches).
