Cheshire Mills Boarding House

We highly recommend staying in our Cheshire Mills Boarding House. It's inexpensive, and only a quick walk to the studio and shop!

Daily rate per person:

Single Rooms: $50

Double rooms: $40

The Cheshire Mills Boarding House was built in 1853 and provided housing for the workers of the mill for over 100 years. We offer economical housing for nine students on the third floor. There are three single rooms and three double rooms. There is also a large living room and dining area where students often gather in the evening, plus a full kitchen and two bathrooms. We can provide towels, sheets and pillowcases for an extra $15 per stay (order ahead), or you can bring your own. Pillows and blankets are provided. There are air conditioners for the warmer months. We apologize, but there are several flights of stairs to the boarding house and no elevator. If you are worried about accessibility or would like to discuss alternative options please give us a call at (603) 827-3996.

Rooms have free WiFi.

Alternative Housing & Dining:

There are other places to stay in the village and nearby towns, including the Harrisville Inn and Aldworth Manor. Harrisville is also a short drive from Peterborough and Keene, which offer hotels, shopping and restaurants. Harrisville is a small village (pop. 1200) that has a post office and a general store/cafe across the street from the studio.

We are located in the southwestern corner of NH off route 101 between Keene and Peterborough. We are approximately 2 hours from Boston, MA and Hartford, CT and 4 hours from New York City and Montreal. Our closest airport is in Manchester, NH (MHT) which is about a one hour car ride. You can rent a car at the airport or call us for information on transportation.
