Customer Service Representative

Job Brief 

Our business is growing, and we are looking for the right person to join our sales & customer service team. You will act as a liaison with our customers, providing product/services information, creatively troubleshooting order issues, and answering questions with both accuracy and efficiency.

We operate on a 4 day/36 hour work week schedule and offer a competitive benefits package!

Responsibilities:

- Interact with retail and wholesale customers via email, phone, and online chat to provide support and information on our products.

- Handle customer inquiries; provide answers, assistance, and, if needed, appropriate solutions and alternatives; follow up to ensure resolution.

- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents.

- Process retail and wholesale orders.

- Work to stay current and knowledgeable on all our products.

- Support other departments in various projects and administrative tasks as-needed.

Skills:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office products

- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and the ability to remain pleasant and respectful when faced with difficult questions.

- Ability to manage time well and multi-task in a busy open-office setting.

- Ability to work both independently and within a small team.

- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) weaving, knitting, and other fiber arts a plus.

- Basic understanding of QuickBooks preferred.

Experience:

- Customer service experience required. 3-5 years preferred.

- Bookkeeping and/or data-entry experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week

We are a family business, founded in 1971 by Chick and Pat Colony and run with two of their three sons.
