Weaving motifs that look like weaving - what could be better for weaving enthusiasts? In this relaxed, round robin class you’ll explore the idea of Metaweave, and how you can use structure to create and enhance these motifs. Under Elisabeth Hill’s technical savvy tutelage and exuberant teaching style, you’ll weave tied weaves, lace, deflected double weave, shadow weave and more! You’ll learn about profile drafts, how to use block substitution in weaving software, and how to work with skeleton tie-ups. You’ll leave this week-long workshop with an array of samples and drafts that will keep you engaged and inspired for quite awhile.
Skill Level: Intermediate. Participants should know how to dress a loom and read a weaving draft. Students will be weaving on a Harrisville 8-harness loom.
