Latvian Knitting Traditions
Date: Sept 12-15 (Tues-Fri)
Instructor: Donna Kay
Latvia is rich with knitting traditions. Learn the history while you knit the mitten of your choice. The remainder of our time will be spent working on a customized garment using traditional stitch patterns. If you prefer you may begin one of Donna’s Latvian inspired designs. We will cover decorative cast-ons, 2 and 3 color braids, fringed and scalloped borders and how to incorporate patterns into your knitting. Open to all with some knitting experience. Knowledge of knitting with double-pointed needles or magic loop is required.
