Introduction to Spinning
Date: April 7 - 8 (Fri - Sat)
Instructor: Donna Kay
Come join us and explore the basics of spinning with an accomplished teacher. Students will learn how to adjust their wheel for the best performance, spin yarns using various drafting methods, plying, and finishing their skeins. Using commercially prepared fibers, techniques such as carding, combing and spinning washed fleece will be practiced in class. Students will leave the class with confidence in their ability to produce a quality yarn. Harrisville Designs has some spinning wheels that can be used in the class but you’ll have to call to reserve one and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
