Introduction to Fair Isle Teddy Bear Sweater
April 26 & 27 (Fri & Sat)
Join Donna and learn elements of Fair Isle Knitting by making a tiny sweater for your favorite Bear! Have you ever wanted to knit a Fair Isle sweater but were afraid to try? In this no stress workshop Donna will take you through all the steps of knitting a Fair Isle cardigan, start to finish. You will knit a teddy bear sized cardigan using traditional yarns, techniques and stitch patterns. Techniques include construction, tangle-free stranded knitting (using one or both hands), choosing colors, chart reading, corrugated rib, steeks and blocking. Participants will leave the workshop with the skills and confidence to knit a full-sized garment.
