About the Instructor:
Katherine Nickel earned a BA from Wellesley College and and MA in International Relations from the University of Denver. She has been a weaver for many years. Her favorite creation was 17 yards of organic cotton that she made into children’s clothing. Color and texture are a weavers delight and making fabric is just like painting with yarn. All over the world, humans have found many ways to make clothing. Weaving by hand is one of the oldest and most fascinating methods.
