Create and sew your own pair of linen overalls from start to finish! In this class, we will work through each step of garment construction and sewing, using the linen overalls pattern designed by Andrea Hungerford. Measurement and sizing, how to lay out and cut out pattern pieces, and all steps of sewing and finishing your overalls will be covered. Learn sewing tips and tricks along the way that will set you up for success. This is a great pattern for beginning garment makers - it looks fabulous in a variety of fabrics, and has lots of positive ease so it’s easy to fit and flattering on a wide variety of body sizes and shapes.

Instructor Bio: Andrea Hungerford is the founder and creative director of By Hand Serial, a series of community-based lookbooks that focus on fiber and fabric making communities around the country. She is an obsessive knitter and sewist who lives with her husband, three daughters and three cats, a Great Pyrenees farm dog, and a variety of chickens on acreage outside of Portland, Oregon. Andrea has never met a hand craft that doesn’t intrigue her, and her current repertoire of making includes sewing, quilting, embroidery, mosaics, hand thrown pottery, canning, candlemaking, photography, and anything involving fiber and fabric (learn more about her creative adventures at blueberryhillcrafting.com). She is currently designing both knitting patterns and apparel sewing patterns, many of which are featured in the By Hand books. In her non-making time, Andrea is the managing partner in a law firm representing Oregon school districts.
